How do I know Transpara AI system is safe?

Transpara has been used for a long time following many years of research and trials. The FDA and other regulators undertook the most rigorous investigations to approve both versions of the system: 2D in 2018 and the 3D version in January 2020.

European regulators awarded an approval CE mark some 4 years ago. Transpara, which was trained on a million mammograms, has now been used by radiologists in over 15 countries to read well over half a million scans with an accuracy equal to a trained radiologist. It is the most advanced system of its kind worldwide and radiologists frequently tell us they never want to work without Transpara being their ‘second pair of eyes’.

Does Transpara Breast Care replace a radiologist?

Absolutely not! Transpara Breast Care acts as a ‘second pair of eyes.  Transpara scores a mammogram from 1 to 10. The higher the score, the higher the risk of cancer. Women with mammograms with low scores can be told right away that their breasts are healthy.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

When a machine – a computer or a machine controlled by a computer – can perform a task that usually requires the thought processes and learning of a human being, it is defined as ‘artificial intelligence’.

Artificial intelligence is the result of ‘machine learning’ – a machine developing skills after learning by repetitive experience – without the involvement of a human being.

What are Algorithms?

An algorithm is a special computer program, a step by step or sequential procedure, usually written to help a computer learn and solve a logical and often recurrent problem. In its simplest form, long division is an algorithm. When you follow the sequence, you get the answer.

What is Deep Learning?

Deep learning is increasingly used in many aspects of our lives, for example, from stores sending us emails about items we might like to buy based on our shopping habits, to driverless vehicles, to automatic translations from one language to another and the friendly computer generated voice in your home that will order you a pizza or find a TV show without you moving from the couch!

But increasingly, artificial intelligence and deep learning is helping to save lives.

Thanks to deep learning, Transpara(r) can quickly read breast scans and recognize potential cancers at an early stage. It also uses a 1 to 10 scoring system that tells a radiologist whether a patient is cancer free or how likely it is that she has or may develop, breast cancer.

And the earlier a potential cancer is identified, the earlier it can be treated and the better the chance of a cure.

Transpara developed by international experts
in AI and is in service in over 15 countries including the USA.
